Yagnotech Inc. (“Dinify”, “we”) operates Dinify Local at dinifylocal.com. This notice covers this discovery website. The Dinify platform privacy policy covers restaurant ordering and other Dinify services.

Browsing and saved places

You can browse without an account. Saved places are held in your browser's local storage. If you share a shortlist, its selected place IDs appear in the link and may be seen by its recipients and our hosting provider. If you allow location access, distance sorting happens in your browser. We do not send your precise location to our server. Your browser and our hosting provider process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as an IP address and request metadata.

Connected menus

When you open a Dinify partner page, our server requests menu items from that restaurant's public Dinify menu endpoint. We show menu names, descriptions, categories and prices. Following an ordering link takes you to the Dinify ordering service, which has its own privacy notice.

Usage counts

We count Dinify partner page loads and menu, restaurant website, directions, phone and ordering link clicks as daily aggregate totals. These counts do not use an account or tracking cookie. Page loads may include repeat visits and are not unique people. To limit automated submissions, we temporarily store a keyed hash of the visitor IP address with an hourly count for up to about 72 hours. Aggregate counts are kept for about 13 months.

Dinner votes

When you start a dinner vote, we store selected public place IDs and an anonymous vote token for up to 30 days. Voters receive a random token in local storage on their device so they can change their choice; we store only a keyed hash of it. A vote link can be shared by anyone who has it. No name or email is required for voting.

Listing requests

If you ask to claim, correct or remove a listing, we collect your name, work email, optional phone, restaurant name, listing details and message. We use them to verify your connection to the restaurant, respond, keep a review record and prevent abuse. We do not treat a request as consent to marketing. Please do not put sensitive personal information in the message.

Optional product demonstrations

If you separately request a Dinify demo, we record that choice and the time of your request. Our team uses your contact details to arrange and follow up on that demonstration and keeps notes on its progress. This is optional and does not subscribe you to general marketing. You can withdraw the request by contacting info@dinify.ca. These records follow the listing-request retention period below.

Who receives information

Cloudflare hosts this website and the listing-request database and may process information in jurisdictions outside Canada. Our authorized team may review requests. We do not sell request contact information. Following a link to a restaurant website or map service takes you to that provider, whose privacy practices apply.

Retention and your choices

We retain open requests while they are reviewed and delete resolved request contact details after 180 days unless law requires longer retention. You can remove saved places through your browser or the save control. Ask for access, correction or deletion of your request information at info@dinify.ca.
